How to set up Subgroup Level 2
For an overview of setting up groups and subgroups, see How to configure your P&L and Balance Sheet in ScaleXP (single company) or How to configure your P&L and Balance Sheet in ScaleXP (consolidated company).
Specifically for Subgroup Level 2:
Go to Load Data, Configure P&L, BS,
- Select the accounts for the Subgroup Level 2
- Move the accounts into the desired Financial Category, Group, and Subgroup.
- Click “Create Sub Group” at the top

Give the Subgroup Level 2 a name and “Save” it.

You will have created a fourth level of reporting financial accounts.
Note - In “Move to”, the group level can be seen by the number of dashes before the name in the configuration chart. Subgroup Level 2 has three dashes ("---")

How to report on Subgroup Level 2
Once you are happy with these, head on over to the 'Reports' tab and select the report in which you are looking to have subgroups showing.
From here, select ‘Edit’ and then ‘Edit Report’.

Option 1 - Use “Show Subgroups Level 2” to automatically display subgroups within a report
Click on the row to reveal the menu for Collapse level.
Select "Show Subgroup" or “Show Subgroup Level 2”
Save the report.

Option 2 - Add each subgroup level 2 into the report as a separate row
Click ‘Click to Start’ and type in the subgroup name.
Select it. Note: You will know you have selected a subgroup as it will say ‘Financial Subgroup’ above your selection.
Ensure you click' Done' to add the row.
