Compare actuals against more than one budget or forecast in the same report — for example your original budget, a revised budget and the latest reforecast — by adding a column for each one.
For a consolidated company, set up the consolidated budgets first — see How to add a budget to a consolidated company.
1. Open the column settings
- Open the report and click Edit, then Edit columns.

2. Add a column for each budget
- Under Add New Column, choose the time period, for example Month, Year-To-Date or Full Year.
- In the new column, click Budget.
- Choose the budget or forecast from the dropdown. Default Budget always uses whichever budget is set as the default.
- Repeat for each budget you want to compare. Add an Actual column, and a Variance column if you want to show the difference.

3. Save the report
- To reuse these columns in other reports, click Save as New Column Config and give the layout a name.
- Click Save & Exit.
Saved layouts appear in the Columns dropdown at the top of any report. For more on columns, see How to create and edit report columns.
