How to add quantity to reports

Add quantity, units, seats, licenses, or volume sold to customer reports, metrics, and formulas alongside revenue and customer numbers.

You can add quantity to any Customers tab report. Using those reports as a base, you can add quantity to any metric definition, report row, or formula.

Add quantity to a report

To add quantity to a Customers tab report, create a new report  (see How to create a new report on the customers page; how to use customer page reports throughout the system) or click on Configure Report or the three dots next to the report name to configure an existing one.

  1. In the Configure Report menu, select Display, then Data to Display.
  2. Tick the box for Quantity.
  3. Click Done.

Any breakdown rows you have selected — New, Lost, Upgraded, Downgraded, and Reactivated — apply across every selected metric, so ticking Quantity also gives you new, lost, upgraded, and downgraded quantity alongside the equivalent revenue and customer rows.

Use quantity in metrics and formulas

To use quantity in a formula, select quantity (or whatever name you have assigned to it) and then the Customers tab report you wish to use.

Rename and configure quantity

To change the name by which “quantity” is displayed, see How to change the quantity label in ScaleXP reports. Once the name is changed, the new name will appear in the report configuration menus as well as on the reports themselves.

To manage how quantity appears in year to date, quarter to date, and other cumulative time periods, see How to change the way quantity is reported in ScaleXP reports for different time periods
