This article covers the most common reasons your ScaleXP data does not match your accounting system data or is not picking up changes made in your accounting system as expected.
These are the two likely reasons your data does not update as expected:
- Your import start dates are not set far enough back.
- Your sync time is not set far enough back.
You can check both of these on the Load Data tab under Connections, by clicking the three dots under the icon for your accounting system as shown below.

Issue 1: Data import start dates
If your data is missing entirely, it may be that you have set the import start date later than your current requirements.
After clicking the three dots and selecting Configure, check the dates in Section 1 for your financial data import start date.

Issue 2: Sync import time
If you are not seeing the expected impact in your reports when you activate an immediate sync, it may be that you have made changes outside the import period.
By default, ScaleXP only re-imports accounting data going back 6 months.
However it is super easy to change this at any time.
Select Configure from Load Data as shown above.
Then go to Section 6: “Daily sync imports data for the last” and select the timeframe of your choice.
Make your selection and Save your changes.
- You can import data up to 48 months in the past.
- To reduce load times for regular use, we suggest keeping a shorter timeframe in settings, and changing as and when required.
