How to add an accounting invoice to a HubSpot deal (using ScaleXP Invoicing)

Attach, link, or import an existing Xero or QuickBooks invoice to a HubSpot deal

Looking to bring across many historic invoices at once? See ScaleXP Invoicing: importing invoices to HubSpot deals for all of the import options.

This article shows you how to attach an existing invoice from Xero or QuickBooks to any HubSpot deal using ScaleXP Invoicing, so that the invoice counts toward the deal value in HubSpot and ScaleXP and flows through to all of your related reporting.

Before you start

Add the invoice to the deal

  1. In HubSpot, open the deal you want to add the invoice to.
  2. On the deal page, open the ScaleXP Invoicing card and select View and amend invoices.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the invoicing summary and select Add more invoices.

  4. Click Import Existing Invoices.

  5. Search for the invoice, select it, then click Import Invoice. You can search by invoice number (Xero and QuickBooks) or by the reference field (Xero only).

ScaleXP Invoicing checks that the invoice currency and contact match what is already on the deal before completing the import.

What happens after import

Once the invoice is imported, the deal properties are updated and the invoice is tracked exactly as if it had been created in ScaleXP Invoicing. Going forward, the invoice counts toward the current deal value in HubSpot and ScaleXP and appears in all of your related reporting.
