What are Deal Tags?
Deal tags are data specific to a CRM Deal/Opportunity.
These can be mapped from any CRM field/property associated with a Deal/Opportunity in your CRM.
You have the option of importing up to two additional Deal fields ("Deal Tags") from your CRM.
These are then available for reporting as follows:
- In Contract reporting summaries (downloadable)
- As filters for Invoice Matching
- As filters for Contracts
See below for how to map these.
How to import Deal Tags from your CRM fields
See CRM Integration: How to map CRM data in ScaleXP. In your CRM configuration on the Load Data tab, go to Deal Tags.
Select a field for “Deal Tag 1” and give it a label. This will be the field name in ScaleXP reporting.
Repeat for Deal Tag 2 if required. (Note that both fields will be visible in Invoice Matching, but only Deal Tag 1 is currently available as a filter).
Be sure to Save your changes.

Deal Tag 1 will then be available for filtering in Invoicing Matching (where relevant). See Invoice Matching (Booked vs Billed): How to Create Contracts in ScaleXP linked to your Invoices and CRM Deals .
How to use Deal Tags in Contracts reporting
Both Deal Tags will be visible on the Contracts page summary table as a new column.
In addition, a filter will be added to the Contracts page reflecting your customized Deal Tag 1. (see below, where Deal Tag 1 = “Salesperson”) and
The Contracts page, including filters by Deal Tag, can be downloaded from the “Total Contract Value” view.
See more about viewing and managing contracts in View your Contracts: An Overview of Contracts in ScaleXP.

Shown here on the Total Contract Value view.
If more than one tag is selected, then the summary will provide a breakdown by tag.
