This guide walks a Salesforce administrator through installing the ScaleXP Invoicing package, adding the tenant token so the package can authenticate with ScaleXP, adding the ScaleXP widget to your opportunity Lightning page, and testing it. Before you start, make sure your opportunity data is ready - see How to prepare Salesforce for ScaleXP Invoicing.
Part 1 - Install ScaleXP Invoicing
1. Open the install link
- Log in to the Salesforce organization where you want ScaleXP installed.
- In a new tab, open https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tgL000000G2YvQAK. Salesforce opens the installation wizard.
2. Choose install options
- Select Install for All Users so everyone in your organization can use the widget.
- If Salesforce asks you to approve access to the third-party domain api.scalexp.com, check the acknowledgment box - the widget needs this to talk to ScaleXP.
- Click Install. Installation usually takes 1-3 minutes; if you see "This app is taking a long time to install," click Done and Salesforce will email you when it finishes.
3. Verify the installation
- Go to Setup > Quick Find > Installed Packages.
- Confirm ScaleXP Invoicing is listed with the namespace prefix scalexp_invoice.

Part 2 - Add the ScaleXP tenant token
The tenant token tells the package which ScaleXP account this Salesforce organization belongs to. Without it the widget loads but every call to ScaleXP fails with an authentication error.
1. Open the ScaleXP config custom setting
- Go to Setup > Quick Find > Custom Settings.
- Find ScaleXP Config and click Manage.
2. Create the default organization level value
- Under Default Organization Level Value, click New.
- In Tenant Token, paste the token ScaleXP sent you exactly as received - one long string, no spaces, no quotation marks.
- Click Save.

Part 3 - Add the ScaleXP widget to your opportunity Lightning page
1. Add the component
- Open any opportunity record, click the gear icon at the top right and select Edit Page. The Lightning App Builder opens.
- In the Components panel, search for scaleXP and select ScaleXP Invoicing (not ScaleXP Canvas). Its API name is scalexp_invoice:scaleXPInvoicing.
- Drag the component onto the page - typically the right-hand column, below the activity feed.
- Click Save. If prompted to activate the page, click Activate > Assign as Org Default > Save, then close the App Builder.
2. Test the widget
- Reload the opportunity record. The ScaleXP Invoicing card shows the invoice summary (count, total and status).
- Click View and amend invoices. The invoice editor opens in a modal.
- Continue to Step 2: Map Salesforce fields to ScaleXP Invoicing.
